Violent Ray (バイオレントレイ) is one of Omega Rugal's Special Moves in The King of Fighters series, debuting in The King of Fighters XV.

Description[]
Omega Rugal fires a small electric beam from his red eye.
Strategy[]
As a brand new projectile for Omega Rugal, this move has an incredibly fast startup. The hitbox on this move also makes it great for forcing opponents to approach far more linearly, which allows you to beat them at the game you want to play. Especially abusable against characters that cannot run under it, since they're also going to have a hard time jumping over it. The following are notes detailing the move's strategy:
- The
version moves slowly, while the version is faster. - Non- versions cause an air reset state on airborne hit.
- Cannot be used if another Violent Ray or a Reppuken is on screen.
- Can be ducked by all characters.
- Can be avoided by just standing or running by some characters, with the exceptions for these characters in case of running:
- Antonov;
- Athena;
- Benimaru;
- Clark;
- Kim;
- Kula;
- Kyo;
- Maxima;
- Meitenkun;
- Ralf;
- Ramon;
- Robert;
- Ryo;
- Shermie;
- Shingo; and
- Vanessa
