Ura 1131 Shiki Hozuki (裏（うら）千百参拾壱（せんひゃくさんじゅういち）式（しき）・鬼燈（ほおずき）; lit. "Reverse Method 1131: Ogre Lantern") is Iori Yagami's Climax Super Special Move in The King of Fighters XV.

Description

Iori rushes at his opponent while entering the Riot of the Blood transformation, then slams them to the floor with one hand in a circular motion, imbuing the Yagami Clan symbol above him. He then burns them in his grip with a pillar of flames while screaming, launching them away as he cools down from the moment.

Strategy

Hozuki almost travels full screen. Iori is completely invincible on start-up, but loses invincibility about 2/3 into the dash. Other than that, its a Climax, and should be used as a finisher.

Trivia

• Upon connecting with the Hozuki before Iori burns his foe in his grasp, a distorted voice is heard when Iori speaks; this is implied to be Orochi.
  • However, Iori's voice will not be distorted and his eyes won't glow red if the technique connects upon any members from Team Orochi (Yashiro Nanakase, Shermie and Chris).
• With the same kanji, Hozuki can also mean "winter cherry" or "ogre lamp(light)".
