Ura 1029 Shiki Homura Hotogi (裏千弐拾九式うらせんにじゅうきゅうしき焔甌ほむらほとぎ; Reverse Method 1029: Blazing Jug), is one of Iori Yagami's Super Special Moves in The King of Fighters series.

Input
KOF 2002, Neowave +
KOF MIRA + (while Kin 77 Shiki Magakaze is active) (2 stocks)
KOF 2002 UM, XIII +

Description[]

Iori prepares for a brief moment by leaning back in a crazed state, with the screen turning red, then quickly leaps across the a large forward distance to pounce on his foe. Once he lands in front of them within a certain range, he grabs the victim by their face with his leading hand akin to the 212 Shiki Kototsuki In and blows them up with a purple flame pillar as they get knocked away with a hard knockdown.

In 2002 Unlimited Match however, Iori instead as he grabs his foe's face instead of blowing them up right away, carries them as he spirals into the air akin to the Ura 311 Shiki Saku Tsumagushi, generating a flame pillar around himself instead.

Originally, Iori laughed for a bit upon grabbing his foe before the flame pillar explosion only in 2002 and Neowave. However, Regulation A (which requires the Magakaze to be active first and with 2 power stocks built up once more) had Iori blow the foe up right after grabbing them, and laughing at them afterwards like with Sanjingi no Ni's aftermath (where the said laugh animation is also interrupt-able into other actions).

EX Iori in XIII however, has both of his hands set aflame as he laughs with a distorted filter as soon as the attack animation starts, and engulfs his victim in the flame pillar just upon contact with his leading hand.

While in all of its appearances it normally inflicts a small knock-away that counts as a hard knockdown, the Regulation A version instead inflicts a vertical flipping launch effect.
