Team Yagami/Trivia

• Due to the fact that the team bears his surname, Iori is the only character who is always present within any formation.

• This team isn't available in KOF '97, all the canonical chapters of the NESTS Chronicles, the two first chapters of Tales of Ash saga and in KOF XV. The main possible reasons is the unstable temper of his leader (due to his bloodline and his constant desire of killing another Sacred Treasures guardian), his disinterest in form a team and his duties as a member of the Sacred Treasures Team.

• With exception of Billy Kane and Eiji Kisaragi (who debuts in the Fatal Fury series and Art of Fighting series, respectively), the other characters on this team are exclusively created for the KOF series.

• Vanessa, Seth and Ramón, members of the 2001's formation, are the founders of Team Agents, a team present in The King of Fighters 2002, The King of Fighters 2002 Unlimited Match (non-canonically), The King of Fighters XI and The King of Fighters XV (canonically).

• Iori appears as a boss for SNK Gals' Fighters, under the nickname Miss X.
  • He also appears in the spirital successor of this game, SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy, as DLC character. The boss of this entry, Kukri, appears in an alternative formation of Team Rivals (Team Official Invitation).

• Billy and Eiji are the only former members who left the team on hostile terms, mainly due to Iori mauling them after Omega Rugal's destruction. In his other team formations apart from the ones formed with Mature and Vice, it can be assumed the team dissolution was on somewhat amicable terms (despite in all formations not related to the Sacred Treasures he always attacks his teammates).

• In The King of Fighters 2002, this team was called "KOF '96 Team", with its members (Iori, Mature and Vice) representing The King of Fighters '96 (the canonical game which both appears as a team). However, in the remake of the reffered game, the team returns to their original name.

• This team, Team Orochi and Team Isla are the only teams which some of his members are in the state of resurrected or undead.
  • All the formations mentioned are/were mainline or alternative entries of Team Rivals.

• This team, Team Ikari Warriors, Team Masters, Team K', Team NESTS, Team Kim, Team Hero, Team Rivals, Team Agents and Team Isla are the only teams of the series which one or more members have unknown nationality.

• This team, Team Fatal Fury, Team Mexico, Team Outlaw (and its variants), Team Art of Fighting, Team Hero, Team South America, Team Rivals, Team Japan, Team Kyo, Team Sacred Treasures, Team Women Fighters, Team K', Team Benimaru, Team Asian Triple Alliance, Team Ikari Warriors, Team Ash, Team Elisabeth, Team Shun'ei, Team Agents, Team Masters, Team G.A.W., Team Agents, Team Isla, Team China, Team East Asia and Team Geese are the only in the series which one or more members win a KOF tournament.
