Team Samurai (サムライチーム), also known as Team Samurai Shodown (チームサムライスピリッツ; lit. "Team Samurai Spirits"), is a Team in The King of Fighters series.
Description[]
As the name implies, this team is composed of characters from the Samurai Shodown series. Various attempts at incorporating Samurai Shodown characters into the KOF story have been done since The King of Fighters '95, but were unsuccessful due to development and planning constraints. with only Nakoruru being included in the Game Boy Advance version, albeit as a non-canonical bonus playable.
In KOF XIV, this purpose has started to gain traction, with the Ainu priestess' entry through her first team entry, Team Another World, and finally realized a concretized in KOF XV, due to the fourth story arc plot is about the multiverse. Like the XIV formation, the XV formation is encouraged by Nakoruru, due to her ability to travel among the time and the universes.
