Team Kim/Trivia

• With exception of Kim Kaphwan, Raiden and Hwa Jai (three characters who debutes in the Fatal Fury series; Kim debuts in the second game, Raiden and Hwa Jai in the first game of the series), the other members on this team are exclusively created for the KOF series.

• This team does not appear in The King of Fighters XI as a normal team, due to Kim joining with Team Fatal Fury in that installment. However, a Special Team in this game called the "Currently Reforming Team" has a similar structure. It revolves Kim (as the team leader) reforming two other antagonistic characters. These teammates could be Ash Crimson, Iori Yagami, Shion, Magaki, Silber, Jyazu, Geese Howard and/or Mr. Big.
  • This team also doesn't appear in the initial cast of The King of Fighters XV, due to the fact that Kim were training in the mountains with his master Gang-il. This is explained in the Secret Agents Team's Story and in Luong's interview with Clemence Bellamy, and is also seen in the ending of the team in the previous game. The fifteenth entry is the first game in 28 years where it doesn't feature Kim in the initial roster.
    • Kim appears in KOF XV as a DLC character in the Season 2 of the game.
  • The other probable main reason of the character's non-inclusion in KOF XV's initial roster is due to the recent death of the real Kim Kaphwan, founder of Viccom, a Korean company that for many years licensed SNK's games, and that inspired the ficcional character.

• This team, Team Yagami, Team Masters, Team K', Team NESTS, Team Ikari Warriors, Team Hero, Team Rivals, Team Agents and Team Isla are the only teams of the series which one or more members have unknown nationality.

• The variant of this team led by Jhun Hoon, Team Fatal Fury, Team Yagami, Team Outlaw (and its variants), Team Art of Fighting, Team Hero, Team South America, Team Rivals, Team Japan, Team Kyo, Team Sacred Treasures, Team Women Fighters, Team K', Team Benimaru, Team Agents, Team Ikari Warriors, Team Ash, Team Elisabeth, Team Shun'ei, Team Mexico, Team G.A.W., Team Isla, Team China, Team East Asia and Team Geese are the only in the series which one or more members win a KOF tournament.

• • The Asian Triple Alliance is also the only non-cannonical formation with KOF tournament winners.
• This team, Team Women Fighters, Team Fatal Fury, Team Hero, Team Art of Fighting, Team Japan, Team East Asia, Team China, Team Athena, Team Kyo, Team Mexico, Team Outlaw, Team Rivals, Team NESTS, Team South America and Team Wrestling are the only of the series with a some/greater number of team variants.
  • With exception of the variant formed by Jhun, Lin and Shingo, the other formation of this team is canonical.

• All the members of the mainline variants of this team practices Taekwondo (and its variants).
  • In the alternative formations, Lin practices Ninjustu, Shingo practices an alternative version of Kusanagi clan's fighting style and Xanadu has no fighting style.
