- This team won the 2003 tournament, with its second classic formation (Leona, Ralf and Clark). This currently makes them the only non-original KOF Team to win a KOF tournament set in The King of Fighters universe.
- Whip won, along with her brother K', Maxima and Lin, the 8th tournament, as Team Hero, and Heidern is pointed, along with Isla and Dolores, the alternative winners of the 15th tournament. This make all the members of the Ikari squad (and of this team) the only military characters to win a KOF tournament.
- With exception of the first classic formation of this team (Ralf and Clark are present in all games of his source series, and Heidern debuts briefly in Ikari Warriors III’s NES intro), the female members of this team are exclusively created for the KOF series.
- Due to the fact that Ralf and Clark are protagonists of the source series' team, both are the only characters who are always present in him.
- This team and Team Women Fighters are the only beyond the Hero and Rivals Teams whose some members are important to the story of KOF series, through the connections as the main events of each saga (Leona and Heidern have ties with the Orochi Saga and Whip, with the NESTS Chronicles. However, Heidern investigates the behind the scenes of most tournaments).
- Additionally, Heidern is the only character who was introduced prior to his KOF series debut to be a major character in KOF storyline.
- Much like Geese Howard, the ruler of Team Outlaw, Heidern also investigates (as already mentioned) the behind the scenes of the tournament, except in the times which he participates as a playable character. But, unlike the criminal boss (who investigate only for his personal gain), the militar investigate to prevent some malice plans from materialize.
- All members of this team are prominent in Metal Slug series, starting from Metal Slug 6.
- Whip was originally scheduled to officially debut in the team in KOF '96, but due to fact that the character was not ready in time, the frontline soldier Leona replaced her. The soldier girl made her debut in KOF '99 (the first game of the NESTS Chronicles).
- All members of this team appear at the same time in three games: KOF 2001, KOF XIV and KOF XV (with Whip and Heidern being DLC characters in XIV, and in separate teams in XV).
- In The King of Fighters '94, this team was called Team Brazil, despite none of their members being Brazilian.
- The series would later include a new "Team South America" in The King of Fighters XIV, this time consisting of South American characters (two Brazilian and a Colombian).
- This team, Team Yagami, Team Masters, Team K', Team NESTS, Team Kim, Team Hero, Team Rivals, Team Agents and Team Isla are the only teams of the series which one or more members have unknown nationality.
- This team, Team Fatal Fury, Team Yagami, Team Outlaw (and its variants), Team Art of Fighting, Team Agents, Team South America, Team Rivals, Team Japan, Team Kyo, Team Sacred Treasures, Team Women Fighters, Team K', Team Benimaru, Team Asian Triple Alliance, Team Hero, Team Ash, Team Elisabeth, Team Shun'ei, Team Mexico, Team G.A.W., Team Isla, Team China, Team East Asia, Team Masters and Team Geese are the only in the series which one or more members win a KOF tournament.
- This team and Team Agents are the only of the series that enter the tournament for investigative purposes.
- This team, Team Fatal Fury, Team Art of Fighting, Team Samurai and Team Psycho Soldier are the only teams with the source series in the name.
