Team American Sports, also called the American Sports Team (アメリカンスポーツチーム) is a Special Team in The King of Fighters series.
Description[]
As the name implies, this team formed by American sports practitioners, and represents the United States of America. This team has not appeared in many games, only canonically appearing in The King of Fighters '94 and later appearing in the non-canonical game The King of Fighters '98 (and its remakes).
There is a running joke in the series that they get their invitations stolen by other fighters. The clearest example is in the '97 tournament, when the team would enter it, but the invitations were picked up by Team Orochi (Team New Faces in that entry) by beating up the members of this team. The other example occurs in the '95 tournament, which the team is stolen by the first Team Rivals (Iori, Eiji and Billy).
