South Town Secondus or Second South Town (called Second South by its inhabitants; セカンドサウス) is a fictional district in the Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters universe. It is the main setting for Garou: Mark of the Wolves and Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves.
Second South is vaguely said to either be South Town's sister city, or a neighbour city of Southtown, an island located east of the original city. Similar to South Town, the city is considered a disparate place of survival of the fittest, where the plights of the poor are ignored by those able to make due. Eventually in time, due to South Town's liberation from Geese Howard's rule, Second South Town took example and remade its image to better the lives of its people.
Kain R. Heinlein was born and raised in the worst and poorest section of the slums. Due to his rough childhood and rise to power, Kain eventually became the ruler of the district. Eventually believing that the residents are "dead" in their indulgence with peace and luxury, he wants to invoke chaos into the streets and have the residents fight for their lives once more.
At the end of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, there was a rumour that Second Southtown would declare independence from the United States by becoming a City-state, with its own government and resources. In Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, this rumour is confirmed, and the independence is conquered.

Traveling along the straight dividing the city, the route it takes passes through a series of island cattle ranches, stops at a station to pick up passengers, and continues into the heart of Second Southtown. (Terry Bogard's arena; also seen in City of the Wolves)
- Dark Palace - Kain R. Heinlein's palace located in the southern forests of the heart of the city's island epicenter. In its basement, there is a temple where Grant lives and fights his enemies. Unlike the rest, the Dark Palace never is given an introduction sequence in game. Its position appears to be strategically chosen to access South Town's Geese Tower island area to access Howard Connection by boat. (Grant/Kain R. Heinlein's arena)

- Philanthropy Park - A square located next to the belfry seen in the previous game, with the ocean in the background. (Hotaru's arena)

Trivia[]
- Second South Town appears to take after New York City, and its surrounding Northeast US geography. Its city island and the location of its respective stages are evocative of all of its intersecting famous Five Boroughs joining together (The Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island), while its mainland is evocative of Long Island, the Pocono Mountains, and Niagara Falls. Nevertheless, Second South Town shares the same subtropical and Mediterranean-esque climate as the original South Town.
- Kain's Dark Palace is evocative of exclusive upper class and rich living communities that are meant to be secluded for purposes of privacy and security. Such communities are also heavily tied with subterfuge of mob activity and political corruption due to this level of security with some of their more unscrupulous residents, however.
