SNK World-i is an i-mode website developed by SNK Playmore with dedicated content for NTT DoCoMo's terminal FOMA 90x series. The company launched the site on July 4, 2005, and is compatible with the FOMA 900i and 901i series.
Overview[]
The site distributes game apps, "deco-mail" that includes actions and messages of characters from the company's games, wallpapers, ringtones, Flash movies, etc. Other notable content in SNK World-i included the entirety of the Days of Memories series, as well as the Garou: Mark of the Wolves prologue novel FATAL FURY Stray Dog, Stray Wolf written by Akihiko Ureshino. In March 2007, the i-mode site SNK Slot Panic i was created to contain solely the pachinko simulator games, but none were removed from SNK World-i.
The game apps initially available in SNK World-i were The King of Fighters -Mobile-, The King of Fighters -Volleyball-, the original Metal Slug, and Samurai Spirits -Makai Rinne Ki-. In December 22 of that same year, the latter three games were also released for au by KDDI's EZweb BREW service, alongside Quiz Dai Sousa-sen. The site SNK World-EZ released that same day, with only Quiz available within. In January 12, 2006, the site NeoGeo Land ¥ 80 (
Prior to SNK World-i, SNK Playmore had launched SNK World-V for Vodafone live! on May 5, 2004, with Samurai Spirits -Makai Rinne Ki- and Puzzled.[1] Later on, KOF -Volleyball-,[2] SNK Gal' Fighters,[3] and Garou Densetsu Southtown Adventure were added. However, Vodafone live! was discontinued in 2006. After it was replaced by SoftBank Group's Yahoo!
