Strategy[]

This move normally is meant to encompass some of Rock's mixup and cross-up game, with Dunk being his primary overhead-hitting option that scores a hard knockdown, and Shift acting as a cross-up to especially enable a Shinkuu Nage buffer (especially as a wake-up/oki option).

Even then, Rage Run is still rather telegraphed as Rock only uses the attacks upon being within proximity of his opponent, meaning as blockstring tools the Rage Run variations need proper conditioning least Rock be stuffed by a fast attack in the middle of their animations.

In KOF XV, Rage Run has 2 new variations in Type "Hard Edge" and Type "Overhead Kick" to further add to Rock's options during Rage Run, with Hard Edge especially being a call-out tool within proper physical ranges and Overhead Kick acting as either a solid combo ender (Neo Geo B Button version), another overhead option (Neo Geo D Button version) or an extender (EX version).
