Mickey Rogers (ミッキー・ロジャース), also known as Mickey the Mauler (ミッキー・ザ・マーラー) is a character in the Art of Fighting series. Mickey was a character controlled by the CPU (playable by players in Vs. mode) in the first game and made fully playable in the second game. His nickname in the English version of Art of Fighting 2 is "The Tragic Pugilist Bum".

He is voiced by Kazuhiro Inage.

Story[]

Mickey was once a professional boxer but was removed from the ranks because he accidentally killed a man during a boxing match. He currently lurks in South Town finding opponents to vent his anger and frustration on and participates in the King of Fighters tournament for the same reason.

During the events of Art of Fighting, He is briefly hired into Mr. Big's syndicate. Ryo Sakazaki and Robert Garcia are sent by King to meet him to get access to the military base she said Yuri was in. He mistakes the pair for police spies and fights them. After losing, he offers to take them to the port, but he could not get them onboard the Guardian aircraft carrier.

Mickey has since reformed in Art of Fighting 2, wanting to get back into the professional boxing circuit. In his ending, his trainer Pops (who is visible in Mickey's stage) informs him that his time has come, and he has a title bout. We then see Mickey training for the fight, confident that he is going to be the next champion of the world.
