Luong is a “femme fatale” type woman fighter who is revealed to be a secret agent with mysterious motivations, and her partnership with Hein. She met Gang-il during his world tour, and fell in love with him. During this time, Hein work posed as Geese Howard's butler in order to investigate the crime boss' next motives.

Kim Kaphwan, Gang-il's pupil, rewarded his disciples Chang Koehan and Choi Bounge with a week break from his Rehabilitation Project, but they did not return. Instead, he received a visit from Gang-il and Luong, the two brought news that both Chang and Choi are seen hanging around with the legendary criminal Xanadu. Kim resolved to enter the tournament with Gang-Il and Luong in order to find out what happened to Chang and Choi.[1] During the team's ending, Gang-il and Luong decide to stay with Kim, much to the latter's dismay.

Luong's nightmare.
Several months prior to the events of the fifteenth tournament, Kukri's obsession for women caused him to create a pocket dimension where women fighters must survive in his universe and join forces and slug it out with other women. Kukri transports most of the female fighters, including Luong, to this pocket dimension, and they suddenly fall unconscious. Upon waking, they find themselves in a strange mansion, along some male fighters who have been changed into women. The fighters attempt to battle their way out, but are confronted by the mastermind, Kukri, who reveals he has trapped them in his castle in a pocket dimension and they must defeat him to return home.

Upon Kukri's defeat, the pocket dimension collapsed, sending everyone back through their dreams. Luong reawakens back to reality after a nightmare where she (as a school student) meets Gang-il dressed as a school girl. She awakens relieved that it was all a bad dream, while Gang-il and Kim are drinking.
The King of Fighters XV[]
Luong meets Hein in a bar, who give her a tip about some undisclosed information. She later meets up with Blue Mary and Vanessa to investigate the upcoming tournament, and for her to have some fun in KOF, since Kim & Gang-il are unavailable to join.[2]
After the tournament Luong has a brief discussion with Vanessa and Mary on a bridge, where she reveals her purpose was to steal a gem called the Sage's Eye from Dolores, which is apparently critical to a plan Hein has concocted to take down Geese Howard. However, after Luong leaps from the bridge onto a jetski piloted by Hein, Mary reveals that the gem Luong obtained was a fake.
