Lee Pai Long (Chinese: 李 白龍, Pinyin: Lǐ Báilóng) is a character from the Art of Fighting. He represents the sennin character of this franchise.
His nickname in the English version of Art of Fighting 2 is “The Legendary Doctor of Death”.
Development[]
The character is highly influenced by the martial arts action movie Enter the Dragon. Lee Pai Long is mainly a homage to Han, the main antagonist who also fights while wielding claws and is a deadly opponent for his old age; as well as Lee whom the character was named after, and he also has lightning fast attacks and extraordinary skills while making monkey-like sounds, The phrase of Bruce Lee famously quoted as My style? You can call it "the art of fighting without fighting" is also the inspiration behind the game's international title and logo outside of Japan.
Personality[]
Lee is the classic sennin, falling into the stereotype of the cocky old master. He is a good friend of Takuma and shares a similar eccentric personality with him. When donning his monkey mask, Lee punctuates his speech with monkey noises, much to the annoyance of everyone around him. Although he has a passion for fighting, he does not want to disappoint his late master and so devotes most of his time to his pharmacy.
