Kyo Kusanagi Classic (or Classic Kyo) is a character used in KOF: Maximum Impact 2.
Story[]
Kyo Kusanagi Classic is basically Kyo as he appears in the Orochi Saga, with his NESTS Saga appearance as his Another outfit. Since many fans of the series like Kyo in his school uniform, SNK decided to put him in the game.
Powers[]
- Pyrokinesis - Due to his Kusanagi heritage, Kyo can control fire. He can create fire from thin air, create fire balls, deliver punches of fire, create pillars of fire and put his own body on fire. He is not immune to other types of fire. He cannot control other fires that he didn't create.
Fighting Style[]
His fighting style is the one used by Kyo from The King of Fighters '94 and 95. He also has the Saishu Kessen Ougi Mu Shiki SDM from The King of Fighters '97 and the 182 Shiki Super Special Move from The King of Fighters 2000.
He is also unique in that he can manually charge his super meter using the Taunt button, similar to KOF '94-'96 and Extra Mode in KOF '97 and '98. Likewise, he also cannot backward roll outside of a guard cancel, as his backward roll animation is his Extra Mode's stationary sidestep motion, along with retaining the follow-up attack.
