After his second encounter and defeat at the hands of K', Krohnen spent most of his time crushing any remnants of NESTS. During this time, he changed his name and appearance to who he is now.

Prior to the events of the fifthteenth tournament, Krohnen reconciled with his old friend Ángel and the pair "kidnapped" Kula Diamond. In actually, Kula joined them after her being frustrated that K' and Maxima couldn't take her to an amusement park. They were spied upon by mysterious pursuers looking for Kula, but destroys their reconnaissance drone. As the group are preparing to escape, they overhear a radio mentioning the upcoming tournament, and hear that Team K' (K', Maxima and Whip) are participating. Seeing the perfect opportunity to settle the score with his rival K’, Krohnen creates a team of his namesake, consisting of himself, Ángel and Kula.[1]
At some point during the tournament, Krohnen meets up with K'. Krohnen makes fun of the fact that K' is a rejected test subject, but K' is none too pleased with seeing Krohnen again, and claps back at him with a brutal remark, causing them to fight with an unknown outcome.

After the tournament, they agree to give up Kula after a ransom was paid, originally to be meant for Krohnen's upkeep. However, Krohnen returns Kula and the ransom money to a puzzled Diana and Foxy. After Kula and her guardians leave, Krohnen claims he gave back the money to dissuade them from ratting out his whereabouts. Ángel laughs and tells him he has matured. The pair resume their lives as usual, traveling on their motorcycles, sightseeing and evading the prying eyes of NESTS remnants. Only Ángel, K' and presumably Diana and Foxy knows Krohnen's true identity.
