Description[]
- "A forward fan toss. Keep faraway opponents at bay."
- —Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Mai throws an unfolded fan using her front hand, spinning towards her opponent in a straight line. If it connects, it nudges them back on a clean hit.
Starting with KOF XIII, Kachousen gained an variant; in KOF XV, the
version bounces the fan up and down after the first hit. This property would be carried over to the held (
) version in SF6.
Also in SF6, the version can be followed up by Midare Kachousen, throwing a pair of fans after the first one.
In COTW, the version has Mai throw two fans in succession.
Strategy[]
- "A technique that sends forth a spinning fan. Hold down the button to change its properties. Useful for attacking opponents at range."
- —Street Fighter 6
Although it's Mai's only projectile, its main purpose is usually not for zoning, but rather space control.
