Grand Sabre (グランドセイバー) - originally known as Sonic Kick (ソニックキック), is one of Leona's Special Moves in the King of Fighters series, first appearing in The King of Fighters '96.

Description[]
Leona runs forward to slash her opponent with her rear arm using cutting energy, knocking her target back.
In most games, after the initial slash lands, Leona can follow-up with Gliding Buster (グライディングバスター) by jumping forward and swinging her front leg up in a circle, slashing the opponent with cutting energy.
Strategy[]
Grand Sabre is a safe advancing special move that covers a lot of ground. You can use this to have a constant threat for your opponent to consider at midscreen, as it easily catches neutral hops. The and versions have a follow-up that can be comboed into her air super, but is very unsafe and should only be used when confirmed. The follow-up causes a hard knockdown. The version is very fast and can be used from lights. It allows for some small juggles after.
Leona doesn't perform the slash until she reaches the opponent when using the or versions, so keep that in mind. The version, however, performs the slash regardless of proximity and can combo from lights.
