Description[]

Terry does a slide kick into a back-roundhouse-high kick, launching his opponent. In the Maximum Impact games true to its name, it has fire effects on the second kick.

Strategy[]

One of the few launchers Terry has had over the years - and arguably one of the best, as it can be very easily followed up by Rising Tackle as a combo ender in most circumstances.

In its Street Fighter 6 appearance, it is now a Target Combo, where it can be performed after his crouching with + . Like its prior appearances, it launches the opponent into the air, though it is also Special Cancelable, giving it some added combo potential.

Trivia[]

  • The name of the move and Fatal Fury's shared origins with the Street Fighter series harkens to an unused move that was meant for Ryu and Ken in the first Street Fighter game. Where they differ is their execution; while Terry's Fire Kick is based on the ground, the Ansatsuken style Fire Kick is believed to be more akin to the dive in kick special move, Tenmakujinkyaku or a flying thrust kick.
