Desperate Ray (デスペレイトレイ) is one of Omega Rugal's Super Special Moves in The King of Fighters series, debuting in The King of Fighters XV.

Description[]
Omega Rugal fires a long-ranged beam from the ground up.
The version has Omega Rugal firing a long-ranged beam from the ground up, then firing a second one down.
Strategy[]
Omega Rugal's fullscreen attack replacing Kaiser Wave. This super catches literally everything and has very low recovery for a super. The hitbox continues to cover the screen regardless of the animation, meaning it cannot be rolled through.
It also can be used to OTG opponents. However, it should be noted that the version used to not combo properly on its 2nd hit when used to OTG, as the 2nd beam would miss completely. This is no longer starting with the KOF XV 2.41 patch, where the first beam when used to OTG now launches opponents into the air, making it guaranteed for the the 2nd beam to hit.
