The DJ Station (
Description[]
The DJ Station allows the player to customize the music tracks that play in menus and stages. Stage customizations are only reflected in offline Versus and Training, as well as Room Matches with the Member Selection setting enabled; all other online matches will instead use the stage and music specified in Player 1's Battle Settings, while Story Mode and Boss Challenge use predetermined music tracks. Up to three sets of customizations can be configured and saved.
Music tracks associated with The King of Fighters XV, including Team and Destiny Battle themes, are locked in the DJ Station until listened to in-game or until certain conditions are fulfilled. In addition to XV's own music, the DJ Station features a significant number of music tracks from past King of Fighters entries as well as other SNK franchises, such as the Fatal Fury' and Metal Slug series. The soundtracks of The King of Fighters XIV and The King of Fighters '94 are unlocked by default, and others are included for free with the release of DLC teams/characters, while the rest are unlocked by completing Story Mode with certain Special Edit Teams.
Teams & Soundtracks[]
By playing with these formations in Story Mode, the player unlocks special endings and soundtracks of the mainline games of the series in the DJ Station. The All Star Team and Old Team only unlock their soundtracks, without special illustrations.
Due to The King of Fighters '94 and The King of Fighters XIV's soundtracks being available at the start of the game, the two games are the only games without a Special Team formation.
Some soundtracks are available after the release of the DLC teams/characters. In Season 1's case, the KOF 2002 UM, KOF Neowave, KOF R-1/R-2 and KOF Maximum Impact series soundtracks are available along with Team Garou, Team South Town, Team Awakened Orochi and Team Samurai respectively.
