This first appeared alongside him in Psycho Soldier, and would become a staple part of his move set following The King of Fighters '94.

Description[]
Kensou throws a ball of psychic energy forward. The strength and distance of the move depends on which button is pressed. The version travels at a slow speed, while the version travels at a faster speed, at the cost of longer recovery time after performing the move.
Starting with The King of Fighters XIII, Choukyuudan gained an EX Special Move variant for Athena. This version travels slower than the two versions, but will hit up to three times. This can be used for more damage, or if the opponent decides to block the move, can be used as a mixup tool.
