Description[]
Terry will dash forward with his fist, while asking "Are you okay?". If the move connects with an opponent, Terry will fire a large explosion directly in front of him, while shouting "Buster Wolf!" as he does so. The move visually seems to be a powered-up version of Terry's Burning Knuckle.
Buster Wolf has two variations. The first version is the Special Power version (in Garou)/Regular version (in KOF). This version only does one massive burst of damage on the final energy burst. The second version is the Potential Power version (in Garou)/ version (in KOF). This version lands 4 hits on the final energy burst, causing more damage. In The King of Fighters series, starting with KOF XIV, this version has Terry yelling "Here's the big one!" before the dash.
Strategy[]
Buster Wolf goes near full screen in the blink of an eye. In most games, the MAX version has projectile invulnerability and goes full screen, and pretty much beats any projectile.

Trivia[]
- The quote Terry says before using Buster Wolf, "Are you OK?", has become an infamous meme in both the SNK and Super Smash Bros. series fandoms, as well as the internet, being used as a way to showcase an incoming powerful attack or used as a way to show genuine empathy.
- According to Yasuyuki Oda, the meaning of Terry's quote had a peculiar origin. Around E3 1998, he went on an amusement park ride in Los Angeles and got wet during it. When he got off the ride, a little kid asked him, "Are you okay"? The sentence amused him, and it caused Terry to have this line.[1]
- In the 1.0 Arcade version of The King of Fighters XIII, Terry will say "Buster... Wolf!" when using Buster Wolf, rather than the "Are you OK?" quote. The 1.1 Arcade version, Home Console, and Climax versions of KOF XIII changes the quote to "Rock you! Buster Wolf!".
- Starting with The King of Fighters XIV, Terry will say "Here's the big one! Buster Wolf!" when using the version of Buster Wolf, while his usual "Are you OK?" quote is used for the regular Buster Wolf.
- In its original concept, Buster Wolf was originally named God Geyser, and its P-Power variant was instead God Geyser Twin, where Terry would follow the initial punch with an explosive Burn Knuckle hook.
- In Granblue Fantasy, one of Anila's Charge Attacks, "Fury of the Ram" is based on Buster Wolf. This reaches full circle in the fighting game spin-off Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, where not only is she playable, but her Super Skybound Art does the exact pose as Buster Wolf.
