Bering Wave

Bering Wave (ベーリングウェーブ) is one of Antonov's Special Moves in The King of Fighters series.

Description[]

Antonov falls down and slaps the ground with both hands, creating a shockwave upon landing.

The version is a feint, and the version has the fastest recovery.

While it has its uses from jumping, Bering Wave can be cancelled into from or Vertical Macho in The King of Fighters XIV, or the & versions in The King of Fighters XV. From there, you can easily transition into Gigantic Back or Whale Stream, leaving you set you up for a Super should you have the meter available.

Bering can be a reference to a few things:
- This could refer to the Bering Strait, a landform in the Bering Sea which separates the Chukchi Peninsula of the Russian Far East from the Seward Peninsula of Alaska.
- This could also allude to the brand of watch Antonov is seen wearing in The King of Fighters XIV.
