311 Shiki Tsumakushi (
All appearances | + or ( OK) |
Description[]
Iori hops as he turns to take a flaming swipe downward with his leading hand. Button versions determine how far Iori leaps forward during his turning leap. Despite its appearance, it does not hit overhead in most games.
It was removed in KOF 2000 (appearing, though, as Another Iori's Striker assist with him performing it with his following hand instead), but returns starting with KOF XIV.
In the Maximum Impact games however, the Tsumakushi for the version inflicts a hard face-down knockdown, while the version (replicated by the later versions) inflicts a ground bounce instead. In Million Arthur: Arcana Blood however, Tsumakushi can also be used in midair.
When used as Miss X however, the move instead becomes known as 311.5 Shiki Kagi Tsumakushi (
Strategy[]
311 Shiki Tsumakushi can be chain-cancelled into 108 Shiki Yami Barai or 127 Shiki Aoihana, making it for a great hit confirm to make up for its laggy startup which can at least low-crush over most low attacks. Though in Million Arthur, it also acts as a decent midair combo finisher.
Trivia[]
- So far only in 2002 UM and beforehand, EX1 Neo Blood, Iori has this move absent while only having the stronger version available in his movesets, though the opposite has happened where Iori only has the base Tsumakushi and not its stronger version as well.
- The only exception in the prior opposite case is in KOF '98 due to the Saku Tsumagushi not debuting yet.
